Welcome to Hinnies, our relaxed and friendly neighbourhood restaurant nestled right on the Whitley Bay seafront, just a stone’s throw from Spanish City. We serve hearty, comforting Geordie-inspired dishes made with fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients. Our menus include options for a variety of dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and adaptable dishes for allergies wherever possible.

At Hinnies, we’re proud to offer a welcoming, down-to-earth dining experience for everyone. While our venue is not fully wheelchair accessible due to structural limitations, we’ve made thoughtful provisions wherever practically possible. The entrance door is 750mm wide with a small step inside, and the dining room itself is on one level. Toilet doors measure 720mm wide, with inner cubicle doors at 650mm, and grab rails have been installed where space allows.

We understand that a comfortable dining experience goes beyond physical access, our friendly team is always happy to assist-whether that’s reading through the menu aloud or providing a large-print version with prior notice.

The nearest car park is located just 100 metres to the north, right along the coast between Hinnies and Spanish City.
